Three Fun Ideas for Dinner and a Movie at Home this Valentine's Day

February 14 is just around the corner!  Surprise the one you love this Valentine's Day with dinner and a movie at home or create it together.  Here are three ideas to pull it off, even on a weeknight.

1.  Cook a Movie Menu - Get inspiration from Movie Night Menus featuring classic films from the 1930s through the '80s, paired with signatures drinks and dishes that appear in, or are inspired by, each film's setting and stars.  Many of the menus are surprisingly simple with convenient make ahead tips.  P.S. - This book also makes a great gift for the foodie movie lover in your life.

2.  Watch a Romantic Food Movie - Whether or not you plant to cook, enjoy your champagne and chocolates while taking in a film.  Thanks to Netflix, Amazon and on-demand you and your sweetheart can snuggle up and enjoy one these 'cooking is love'- themed favorites from the comfort of your couch.

3.  Make a Scene - not like a stomping your feet and storming out kinda scene.  I'm talking about creating foods from a scene like in Lady and the Tramp (spaghetti slurp!), Beauty and the Beast (Be Our Guest feast) or one of these other Disney movies.  This one's particularly fun if your spending valentines day with the kids.  Get them involved in the cooking too.  No kids?  Just have fun watching these memorable movie food scenes
